What a year! We'll not see one like it again. Or at least I blooming hope not! I mean, who would have thunk it?
I have to admit that I haven't had it nearly as bad as the millions who have been affected by COVID on a huge scale, with job and home losses and of course losing loved ones. It's unthinkable. So I thank my lucky stars that I still have a home, my family and my work, which has oddly benefitted from this strange year, as clients focus their spending on home improvements rather than holidays and fast cars.
I've been extremely busy for the last six months, meeting lots of lovely new clients, interior decorators, other makers like me and of course getting to create lots of lovely soft furnishings for happy people! I feel so grateful that my business is still afloat, doing well and hopefully...long may it continue.
I'm looking forward to next year with optimism (I'm a glass half full kinda gal), it has to be better than this one, right? I want to hug my friends, listen to live music with a crowd of strangers and have an almighty party! I can't wait until we look back on this year and it is but a memory.
For now, I'd like to wish each and everyone a Merry Christmas (as best as it can be) and a much happier and healthy 2021.
